I see u are with O2 , try ringing them for help on gprs mail.

My friend sends SMS's over gprs and its much quicker, especially when sending a long message (4 or 5 as one message) its still charged the same way, but much quicker....when u press send, it says sent str8 away, even when sending multipul messages

If its better I will use it. If your mate's works over gprs then I would speak to O2 to see if they can help you. Maybe it depends who u use, what network does your mate use?

Don't they have a dedicated GPRS number to ring? I had the same problem with Voda when I first set up my GPRS - some people know what yor talking about but most of them dont! Ask about GPRS number or if they have a dept that deals with it - they should have.
