I guess it's being stored only for a week, speaking from Manila's local network, once sent it will clear it's database, as to accept new incoming ones Manila is one of the world's (if not the heaviest) sms user . . . With an average of millions sms sent/received everyday

i certainly dont think my service provider keeps text messages that long as its only been around here for about a year. besides as some said there are millions of texts coming in everyday. and as the average text should be about 1k (half of 1k minimum) which is about 976mb in a day. then multiplying that by 7 for weeks then by 30 for months then by 12 for years then by 10 you get 24609375mb which is about 24032gb. i dont think service providers have that kind of cpu power and if they did well they'd be stupid to waste it on text messages. (someone correct me if my figures are wrong)

2000gb per year isn't much. But, i think they do it to map terrorist activities. I remember this high profile murder case, where this woman conspired with her lover to get her husband killed. And the only evidence linking her to it was the sms she sent him. These were stored for more than a few months i believe. This message was posted from a T630

Yea its pretty sinister what the man gets up to these days concerning our freedom and privacy.
When i send death threats i always use my anonymous sim, which cant be traced to me. Its safer that way.
