Sorry cb31 - there are options for the k700i to receive cell info - not sure how it worked with the nokia - but with the K700i you have to enter "new subscription" all that means (with 02) is that you enter the correct number - and save it. your phone will then start displaying that area info. i will try a few numbers and get back to you if i luck onto the right one

not having much luck here - tried my Vodafone SIM in the K700i and the local STD code comes up fine - i cannot get it to work for O2 no matter what combination of codes i use - or even simply "Area Info" ->on

The number is 200, works on my Sagem MYV-65, displayes 4 local area codes!
