IMO this is good news. After what they did to my T610 (branding) i will honestly never go with Vodafone again!
What they do to their phones is unacceptable. I'm glad i went with 02 and i love my unbranded K700i. No doubt if i had gone with Vodafone it would have been ruined.
I doubt it's just about their branding either......

Actually, the issue of branding is different in Japan. Every phone they have is branded with either Vodafone, DoCoMo, AU, etc etc.. and Vodafone have exclusive rights to some of the phones (How about a 2megapixel camera phone with optical zoom for starters? Or a phone that is truly works all over the world with GSM and WCDMA integrated?)
Vodafone live is pretty heavily used, as are the other network's wap/web features. I hear that its something to do with Voda being the last to jump onto the 3g bandwagon or something like that being the reason people are changing to other networks with 3g. (Though dont quote me on that)
