On several accounts I was wearing my p900 on my belt with the case the phone comes with and it flew off when i was running. once my phone (in the case) flew onto the pavement and bounced like 3 times and the corners of one side got scratched. OFCOURSE the phone is in perfect functioning conditon.

Once again CHEAP JAPANESE PLASTIC.

My hasn't taken one fall yet, and still, somehow, works wonderfully. I use it every day all day and it is still kickin'. Friggin' unbelievable.

I think most phones are built with a certain degree of robustness in their design. They are, afterall, portable electonics that are expected to go through the rough and tumble. How many times have you knocked your tv remote of the sofa, or sat on it, yet it still stays intact. A laptop, portable music player or camera also has a certain degree of extra strength built in, its juts remarkable that a phone like the SE P900 with so many movable parts is still realtivily strong when it comes to the odd knock, drop, splash.

However it certainly wasnt designed to be used to call mum while saving small children from oceans.

Well there is not much that can break on a PCB board. Outside plastic and the screen take most of the brunt.
