I do have to agree with your summation and I have been most happy with my unbranded K700 since the day I got it

@therealspawn

Well said. Even my O2 branded phone has kept me happy. Not really suffered any bugs mentioned on forum, expect battery life, but will still last me a day and i charge every night anyway.

I agree 100%. Everyone's reporting bugs and scaremongering over this phone and its completely un-necessary. I have just upgraded from a t610 and am thoroughly chuffed with my k700.

The best word i can use to describe this phone is "refined"; the interface, the features, the design, everything seems to be easier and more effective than the t610 (which in itself was a great phone). And the t610 with original firmware was far worse than the k700 is; at least the k700 can play the java games it supports. and at least you can see the screen when youre outside. and at least t9 doesnt lag like a 56k modem playing an online fps. and at least the joystick presses down. and at least you can customise the shortcuts for the joystick. and at least the joystick is 8-directional in games. and at least you can change the exposure on the camera. etc etc etc.

I have r2a firmware and have not noticed bugs with the firmware. I really honestly have not had any of the problems that everyone is whining about.

Battery life is not a bug so much as a regrettable feature of all high-powered video-phones. The only thing i have found that really drains the battery is playing games and using bluetooth. My phone lasts for a good 3 days if i dont bother playing games (which im not that bothered about), and this is only cut short when i decide to change the album i have. The mp3 player does not use loads of battery life, in fact i would say it uses barely more than standby.

Whilst i cant make a direct comparisson to the nokia phones because i havent even seen the latest ones, the k700 is an excellent phone and the mp3 player is perfect. end of.

@therealspawn- That's what I feel about the fone mate - my apologies Now, God has given us the the/our 'FREE' choice wheter to do things we like or not, the buy things we like or not etc. etc. Not because I have posted some negative 'facts' 'bout the SE K700/i does not necessarily mean that the potential member/buyer here must concur with what I have said mate, that's why I said to the author of this thread to read 'ALL' the threads/posts/replies made with that of the K700/i fone model before buying You just 'CANNOT' alter/superimpose nor overrule my feelings and sentiments 'bout that fone dude If you feel like it's a good one, then I respect yours. Also, having read some threads negatively criticizing the K700/i's fault, then I guess I am not the 'ONE' who dislikes it anyway - itiendes ! Though I must admit that I haven't upgraded my fone with that of the R2L . . . firmware, so let's just leave it at that for the moment dude , afterwhich, then I'll surely be posting my comments then, though I am seeing that not all 'upgrader's' here became satisfied with the results as well mate ! Out of the voluminous SE K700 that I came out in the market, it's just so unfortunate that I 'unforcefully' got a defective one, though some got 'worst' problems that I had ! I can say it again - @therealspawn, I am not the "ONLY" one here who is not satisfied with my K700i fone unit pal !

@TheRealSpawn

I absolutely agree with you. I am one of the quite first users of k700i(masseur, do you remember )and I am perfectly happy with myk700i, especially after upgrading to fw R2L001. The battery life prolongation is the main improvement. k700i is a nice fone! Know it means to like it!

@jasondefaoite - On certain occasions it hangs when I am about to make a call. It restarts after taking some video shots, using the camera, sending sms/mms, listening to MP3s/radio (rarely), playing with the Tennis game. Having a 'low-signal' when I'm in my room, about 2 bars, wherein it does not happen to my Nokia fones (if you can call that a bug ) !
