> O2 or K700 has MAJOR problem!

I'm on O2, I've occasionally had problems with my texts being delayed, it seems to happen once every month or two. There seems to be some kind of 'slowdown' of their system, where texts I've sent and/or recieved are delayed by hours, or a day. I don't know if this is due to a higher than expected damand, or some technical problem, but it's damned annoying!

For delivery reports to work on o2,do this;turn del reports off,then prefix the sms with *0# and leave a space then type your text.

i have been using O2 payandgo ever since O2 took over from BT, and have been using a contract since the k700 was released, as far as i know none of my messages have been deleayed, and i definatly havn't had weird symbols appearing in the messages.
Maybe the area in which you live can effect the time it takes for the message to send, if you are in a low user area, that is suddenly experiencing high demand the network wouldn't be set up for the high level of demand.

No its not just the happy hour promotion i have had the same problem for over 18 months o2 just cant cope they are quite useless in fact if someone from orange texts me o2 wont let me reply to them

That's funny - I've been using *0# without a space since taking out my O2 contract last year without anyone getting it before their message!
Damo55, it looks like your enforced absence hasn't calmed you yet - is there any remote chance of you posting something without slagging someone or something off?
You seem to have some anger management problems - or problems with reality. I suggest seeing a professional about it before it ruins your life!

I stand corrected.But may i say,it's stated in places, that a space should be put between the prefix and text.yes,i do require anger management.My 6wk think first course at probation proved to be a complete and utter waste of government revenue.But i avoid custodial sentences,and thank the oblivious masons(judges),for their leniency.
