How? I've tried the software briefly but couldn't find that option. I tried to drag and drop (it works for phone --> PC) but it woudn't allow me to that.

I tried Message Storer and am pretty happy with it. I think I'll stick with that. It creates a txt file with all the messages in it, and the only (minor) gripe I have with it is the amount of dashes ("-" character) it inserts into it to separate the messages. Opening the file in Notepad doesn't give you very good results, and I almost gave up after seeing how messy it was, but luckily, I opened the file with Word, and that looked much better. Then, you can save as HTML, and that looks totally decent. So, 4 stars out of 5.
The DesktopMessage one looks decent too, but don't like the limitations of the trial version (every downloaded message trimmed to 64 characters - and obviously, don't want to buy it without trying first), as I'm not sure it's not going to mess something up, like remove messages from my phone, yet only copy 64 chars. of each to the PC.

I want to get my sms from 'inbox' and 'sent' on my P910i to my new P1i, I have approx 200 messages in each folder. If the only possible method is 'move to sim' on old phone and then 'move to phone' on new phone please let me know and put me out of my misery!

I also use Best Message Storer which really is the best. It crashes on me sometimes but I guess that's because of some emails I have in my Inbox. I have used this program since the days of P910i.
