I almost lost my K700i as well. I was eating lunch with my sister at a restaurant and I put my precious K7 on the empty chair next to me (I usually put the phone in my pant pocket). After paying for the lunch, I realized that someone made a mistake and I was not charge for some of the food that I DID ordered. I paid what was listed on the receipt, played dumb, and left.

After leaving and buying a cold coffe drinks at a shop next door (with the extra money I saved , I reached down to my pant pocket, and said, "holy shit, where's my phone?"

I ran back to the restaurant and found another person sitting at the table I sat at. The person said there was no phone here. I was in disbelief. Stood there for a minute or so, and then all of a sudden, the person that "cleans table" came up to me and handed me my K700i.

Man, I was one lucky "m*therf*cker."

Moral of the story: Don't leave your phone on empty chairs or on the table at restaurants.....and don't cheat the waiter. Karma does happen.

If you do that, and it wasn't stolen, they can put you in jail

you can't report it stolen when it wasn't

and your telco can just block the line on your request, it doesn't need to have the phone reported stolen, it simply takes your line off that particular sim. Having the sim number somewhere would help though

As for lost phone and blocking imei.......... I doubt you'd get that done. Also it's not really very important is it? As long as your actual phone line is dealt with. And you get yourself a new phone

Sorry to hear about losing your fone, I feel for you cos I screwed mine up at the weekend. Phone was on the arm chair, I knocked it and it fell off straight into my pint of diet-coke that was on the floor!!
Noooooooooooooo! Do you think Orange Care will cover that?

Its a dead K700i now!

Im going there in a min to get it... I hope they replace it.. I dont see why not though - cos I have genuinely lost my phone... its not like Im trying to con anyone..

Unlucky, i put mine in a zipped up pocket to make sure it didnt fall out, slightly annoying though worrying about it when watching something like Muse (who rocked).
OT:
Did you watch Goldie Lookin' Chain - damn funny group

What did you think of the fact that everything shuts at 11, pissed me off, you want to get drunk at that time.

Hi all!

Just got back from police and Voda shop.. they kept there word... as soon as I gave them a officers number they replaced the handset.. less then 20 mins.. got a brand spanking new K700... only loss is my photos... had wicked ones of Muse... (which is when I lost my phone)

Anyway - I'm a bit happier now...

For the FIRST T IME EVER.. Vodafone have pleased me 100% no major probs really and were quick...

Just as a note for anyone else that looses their phone you will need the follwing

1: a police officers badge number and which constabulary they belong to.

make sure the officer takes your name, DOB and home address.

Then thats it. contact ur provider and all will be done!

Roll on V 2005!!!!!!!!

PS: TOP THREE BAND FOR THE WEEKEND

1:SCISSOR SISTERS
2:MUSE
3: N*E*R*D
