If you get the official SE in car holder for your K700 you dont need to connect it to power or carkit, it is just a holder. The HCE12 then connects into the holder. When you put the phone in the holder the phone will then engage with the ariel connector on the holder.

As for the 99p phone boosters - sounds too good to be true. Anybody know if they work?

Keep us posted about the amplifiers as I would be interested in that myself. As far as the 99p boosters go, loads of people on esato have said they dont do anything. I would say that they are a con, but at 99p the con people arent making much money.

Here's a quick update on the signal booster. The Irish company is very helpful but their booster doesn't work with Orange 1800MHz signal. It does work with 900MHz networks so feel free to contact them if that's your frequency.
They passed me to a supplier in Australia who could supply a signal booster but it'd cost USD300 which is too much for me.

www.wpp.ltd.uk about a TV type Yagi aerial to stick on my house it gives a true signal gain which is better than the boosters. Downside is that it's directional so you need to know where your nearest transmitter is and point the aerial at it.
I still want to know why SE have built an external antenna socket into the K700 but haven't built a connector to plug into it. Anybody willing to take a guess at why?

99p on its own aint much, but they probably sell alot because ppl just go, ahh ill give it a go for 99p.. soon mounts up.

I've got one of those things in my K700 - not really made a blind bit of difference really!
Your best spending your 99 pence on a couple of choccie bars or a cup of tea in a cafe!
