all i can say is long live SE. although my next choice would be nokia. Motorola and Siemens and samsung just can't seem to deliver. Everyone has their own taste and experiences. Whatever the choice is... its your money.. do whatever the hell you want with it..

Its a shame you are so down on SE. Every phone I have ever had starts having problems after a few months, nokia and SE included. Its just a fact of life. But during the good times I have enjoyed my Se phones more than the other brands. Enjoy whatever phone you get for a few months and then don't be too shocked when it starts having little problems.

Oh, and I'll take the P900 off your hands when its fixed if you just have to give it away...

I would never trade for NOKIA becouse you can't even compare them. Just think about 7650 as a symbian!

I've had Nokias. Compared to SE? Nah. Maybe you are looking for the perfect phone. It won't be available until Q4 2007 (and then it will be delayed). There will inevitably be some below-standard phones produced, and it would appear you have been the unlucky one this thousand, on the whole most people dont have a problem with their SE in terms of reliabilty, build quality etc. If i was you i would stick it out, or at least be careful with Nokia, they appear to be specialists in letting a "dodgy" one slip through the net. Or maybe it just seems like more due to the massive amount of phones they have sold.

@richy se is disappointed for me after ///, but its the most acceptable handset compared to other brands. Esato and general support replace the /// feeling what got lost in the last years imho. This message was posted from a T630

I´ve been a Nokia and SE user, and I´ll stay with SE, it´s all about what you experience with your phone, and that experience is more enyojable with SE, because I found Nokia phones too comercial, without personality...

Rich240, you have just been unlucky...

If you keep experiencing these problems… demand a replacement, but not after you’ve had it for 2 years… like some people I know….if u no what I mean

I have never had any problems when any of SE phones. T28, t68, T68i, P800, T610, Z600 and now K700i.

Sure... I occasionally got a frozen screen, lockups and the usual human error issues, But seriously... none of that has warranted for me to ditch SE and go back to Krapia (Nokia).

I find it quite amazing how many people post not just on this forum but all others I regularly visit - about problems there experiencing with there SE, particularly the K700i.

My pc at home which I am currently typing on consist of : AMD Athlon XP 3200+ Barton // Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu, cooler // Asus A7n8xe // 3x512Megs PC-4000 1024MB Corsair TwinX Pro // Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256MB // 1x Western Digital SATA 7200rpm 250Gb // 2x Western Digital WD740 Raptors // Sony™ DRU-700A Double-Layer DVD Burner // Sony™ CRX230A 52/32/52X CD-RW // Sony™ CRX320A 52/32/52/16X COMBO // CoolerMaster Wavemaster // Antec Truepower 550w // Sony™ G520 Trinitron 21'Inch //Logitech® diNovo™ Media Desktop// Logitech Z680 THX 5.1

Running on Windows XP Pro

And guess what... I still get lockups and occasional freezes and the dreaded blue screen of death. But... if my system started smoking or keys wouldn't respond to my typing... or screen wouldn't work... then I’d have the shits! But still I would get I fixed or replaced if still under warranty.

To this day... none of the SE phones i have had the privilege of owning has given me grief like fading screens, no sound, buttons not working... etc etc!

I can't say much about Nokias I’ve owned... yeah maybe there products in the 90s were 10x better than they are today.

But that was then this is now...

Good luck with your switching of camps Rich240, I do hope we will se you back soon on the SE shores!

I was hoping that someone would talk me out of going Nokia...

It just seems to me that everyone just puts up with SE's problems because they like the line of products. There are a lot of die-hard SE fans. I've never seen this sort of following with Nokia. I realize their products are more appealing to the masses, and I am not necessarily looking for a phone that everyone wants.

But I want a phone that works. And SE just isn't doing that for me anymore.
