nope, doesn't work
I take a gif file (41kb) compress it via pc, send it to phone whoa it was 169kb

Did you try that out on your phone? because i just did, and the compressed gif file doesnt even show up on my phone, it just shows up as a broken picture.
EDIT: ok, i tried to compress a jpg, and that showed up on my phone, but it was still the same size (57kb). At least the gif was reduced down to 18 kb

weird, with me it does work, when i just upload my pics theire somehow always 45 kb, when i conpress it varies around 19 kb.
