To stop the creaking noise on the back cover of the K700i what I did is remove the bottom rubber pieces only from the back cover leaving the top 2 rubber pieces on the cover..and now i dont have any loose cover or creaking noise..i remove and put on the back cover a lot of times in the day and no probs..it is rock solid now..those cardboard pieces and other stuff i tried before only gives temporary effect..after u remove the cover and close it again then prob starts..what i did worked perfect..

It's either incompetance or a serious bug that stopped SE making loudspeaker activation a one keystroke item.

I mean somebody in SE must have said through the phone's evaluation: "Hey maybe we should make it easier to turn on the loudspeaker".

Or then again maybe not.

I use speakerphone mostly when driving, so if SE made it easier to turn on speaker will difinitely help. Press the joystick key is not quite easy when driving.

The ability to turn on speaker while connecting via left softkey is very useful IMHO.

Does GPRS work during voice call? For me it does not seem to work(although the phone try to connect when I press Onlne key during call). If GPRS is not available during call, SE can use Online key as the shortcut key for speaker phone.

How do you get to the speakerphone in two presses? For me it's three. You need to answer the call with one key, then press the joystick to open another menu and then press 5 to get to the speakerphone option.

If you press the joystick first, it answers the phone the normal way and you've lost accces to the menu that has the loudspeaker option in it.

Also, is there an easy way to get to the loudspeaker if the K700 initiates the call?

You can't help but think that the whole loudspeaker thing was a bit of an afterthought in this phone. There's no mention of it at all in the manual.

well I wasn't including actually answering the call because generally I don't know if I need to use speakerphone until I know who I am talking to. i.e. if I need to put the phone down to write or type something.

So yes, depending on how you look at it, it would be 2 or three keypresses minimum

I'd also very much like an 'automatic loudspeaker' function for use whilst driving (on my W800i). It's ok to press one button to answer the call, but it's a real pain to have to switch the speaker on as it takes your eyes off the road for too long.

It is a pain indeed, not so much the 2/3 keypresses, but especially that you have to wait till the connection is made before you can start your 2/3 sequence, because you have to take the phone from your ear which comes down to missing the other one pick up or starting your conversation with 'hold on a sec'.

Shame.

Yesterday I used a k600i and there it is much better implemented. It is also more useful there because the phone can actually stand upright (although then the mic is covered...)
