> K700 - SMS & Email Problem (Bug)
Bookmark topic
@smudger
I had exactly the same problem as you about a month ago. O2 data services said that a firmware update was about to be released that would cure it.
I was told to take the phone to my nearest SE service centre, or send it off to Hays in Banbury to have it done.
I decided to update the firmware myself with the help of multi server to R2L001 then R2AA003 and have not lost a text since.
PS As well as the missing texts I also received a 901 answerphone message about a month late.
Cheers,
Col.

i realise telsaguy hasnt experienced this problem, but how many other people here haven't? am a little worried by this since this is the main reason i'm getting the phone- more space for messages- so it really would be pointless otherwise, and also with me getting it on o2 i really wanted to avoid having to travel to get it updated (im hoping i get minimal bugs, i can wish i suppose!). really hope i dont find i'm one of the many people experiencing this!

Had same problem with my K700 a month ago, O2 sent me another and it has been fine since. As for the old SIM card thing, am still using the original sim that came with 1st K700 i got in july. there are a couple of posts on expansys on this problem-
http://www.expansys.com/forumthread.asp?code=K700&thread=141
and
http://www.expansys.com/forumthread.asp?code=K700&thread=192
hope this gets sorted as I don't want to unlock and unbrand the phone in case I have to send it back under warranty
