hh,,, you must also not have tested the moto's bluetooth implementation very well...blech!!!

also symbian OS, touchscreen, support for 2 lines, firmware upgradable online, languages changes when you want, excellent sycing tools, top-notch backup/restore tools, all necessary components to connect to the PC come included with the phone, external memory can be switched without turning off the phone, a flight mode for aiplanes....and on and on.

its a completely different class.

kind of like saying the nokia 3310/3390 was better than 3650 because it was simpler to use, had a faster OS, LEDs could be switched, and rang louder.

Was a joke to me also until I saw the phone and heard its price.

Tell me, is a touch screen really that costly to blow up P900s price?. I sincerely dont think so. But nevertheless, one thing that I really really love about a few SE phones is the jog dial and have rarely seen it on other phones (probably SE has patended this technology?).

The jog dial alone was a huge tick in the box for me choosing the P900 as my next phone. The CMD-Z5 used it to great effect that i could not do without it.

@sbjg
Can the E398 open internet pages that are actually veiwable like the P900, can you use it as a GPS nav system or play games like doom?
I seriously doubt it can do any of the above.
The only thing that the Moto has in its favour is its size but if the P900 had the same size screen then it woudnt be as good as it is.
It would be fairer to compare the Moto with the K700 or the S700 not the P900.

Yes, yes. You all are correct.

My irritation is not against the capabilities of the P900, its against the cost that SE is charging for these technologies. If Moto can give the same technologies at less than half of the cost (note, Moto has the A780 which has a touch screen and all those features that the P900 and its runs on Linux, but costs less than 1/2 of the P900) ... what makes SE charge so much?. Technology must not be costly if its to become popular. And SE doesn't seem to uderstand the fact.
