the 10m dongles dont have an antenna thats why u r buying the 100m one. in 10m dongles they have a small thing that u cant see; works as an antenna. but in 100m dongles u can see the antenna and get it out. all u need to do is getting out the antenna and giving it back a bigGER "PrIngLes BoX AntEnNa".

How about just getting a usb extension and re-positioning the dongle as high as possible - maybe even in the roof space. That should get you coverage in the garden.

What would be nice if bluetooth adapters could run in bridging mode (like Waps) so you could have just powered bluetooth adapter boosting the signal (and probably frying your nuts) all over the house!

I've got a 100 meter Belkin BT dongle at home.
It will NOT let you surf the net from your phone 100 meters away.
My phone can pick up the signal from the Pc 100 meters away (well I've managed about 60 meters so far). But there is no way the PC can pick up a signal from the phone, unless the PC is within the phones bluetooth broadcast range (10 meters)
So there's no way of telling the PC what websites you want to look at.
10 meters is still a pretty long way though. But lets hope in future our phones will have better BT range. Imagine the bluejacking you could do with 10x the current range lol.
Now......
If someone can find a way of boosting the Px00 bluetooth antenae, I'll be overjoyed.
