@blackspot: i know what you mean, the same thing happend to me also, its kinda freaky especially @ 2:30 in the morning LOL!!
@JN: i also have the same FW so i dont think it's "just" me and some few folks but i think it's because of the views expressed above.
@lembo: this only happens while the phone has gone into the screensaver mode.
@govigov: that did go through my mind, some phones here in the states e.g. sprint do have that feature except they make a beep whenever they get or loose the signal.

@blackspot: when you say "unfinished business" do you mean like an unfinished txt msg. or another app.?? i dont quite understand that, i know my friends 3650 could toggle between the menu and other app. that were already open/in use and in that case i could see where he had various apps. open

I think it's more like - If you're not in the main screen. When you're trying to do or start something like open the phonebook and stop until it goes to standby (it's just my theory).

Same here when i leave it in some menu and don't touch it anymore then after some time the backlight for the clock turns on all of a sudden. Maybe it's a reminder, but that's just guessing.
