The only way to upgrade the software (SW) on a T230 is to have a ServicePoint (SP) to do it for you.
I'm afraid I don't know what the lates SW includes since I just gave my 230 away. It had the earliest SW and I never bothered to upgrade it.

Email
and ask them if they know and they will give you a phone number to call to find out where the closest is, but they usually take a week or 2 to reply to the email.
OR you could see if a user here knows where one is located near you...post your country and town here and see what happens, email
aswell.
