This has been mentioned before. I had the same problem when I put my sim in my new i. I think you have to sync your phonebook with your PC to sort it or you could (as I did in the end) just edit all your names.

The names are right in the SIMcard .. My theory is that SyncView was set on "lastname" when i tranfered my contacts from SIM to phone.
I wonder if i set SyncView to "firstname", deletes all my contacts, and copy from SIM agin will work?!
