i use to have this problem only when i would switch profiles (from normal to handsfree and vise versa) and once that happens i usually restart it and it would work well, if that doesn't work why don't you just go to the service menu and turn up the speaker/earphone/microphone maybe that will do it.
to access the service menu press: >*
> = right
* = star
