The phone will power and and stuff wont it? I thought you could like access games and all that stuff? I dont know, I have only experienced one SE phone and that was my dads T68i but he rarely let me use it.

T610 doesn't turn on to main menu, you get a "Insert SIM" message, but you can access service menu, think that's the same for K700.

all of the phones i used to have won't go any further...
got stuck at the screen... please insert sim.
you can use old sim or even test sim instead to get pass that screen.

This is one feature SE should incorporate in the new upcoming phones..
The " Offline Mode", this allows to use the entire phone functions without swtiching ON , your Network.
Nokia N'Gage has this feature, I think thats a pretty smart option, as phones like K 700i incorporate Entertainment tools such as Camera/Recorder/Games/MP3..So this feature is gr8 if it was there..

Oh yes it will. When the "Insert SIM" message appears you can dial 911, 112 and 08. It's a security feature prensent in "almost" all phones.
