I agree. The sound is annoying on older phones like the P800 and T610 you could mute the shutter sound. It wont even mute when you turn on silent on the S700.

did you try turning the ringtone volume right down? that used to work on my first K700

Playing with s700 for an hour now. I can play videos from p900 duo but some files have no picture whilst others will play ok, not like on p900 obviously, weird.
