It might have been because one is using the serial port profile and the other is using the headset profile.

I'm currently using wayfinder with Parrot ck3300 kit and P910 and it seems to work fine..(only been two days) the voice navigation will only come through the speaker phone and not the car speakers, although with the volume on full it's quite clear on a normal road, on the motorway at 80 mph it's a slight struggle to hear the voice commands.. i have the phone on the dash next to the steering wheel where i can clearly see the mapping whilst listening to the voice navigation.. Only other option is to use a cable head set or perhaps a phone cradle with a built in speaker.
When you receive a call or make a call (whilst navigating) the voice navigation is muted and the call is made as normal through the Parrot kit and car speakers, once the call is ended the voice navigation is ressumed..
As far as i can see with the parrot kit you only need one BT connection anyway.. overall i'm quite impressed with it all.. SE, Parrott and Wayfinder seem to have got it right.. only down side seems to be not getting the voice navigation through the car speakers..
Also i note with wayfinder you cannot just search by post code you have to identify street name and post code or city?
You also need to go out in the morning with a full battery life as the use of BT GPS GPRS and you back light on, does drain battery life, come 6 pm there aint much left
Incidently any one know how to connect the P910 to two BT devices as i have the Parrot kit and a HBH 200 in my list of devices but it seems i can only connect to one or the other..

@jcwhite_uk
The P910 is designed to support multiple BT connections at the same time as descibed in SE's Whitepaper on the P910.
@dannycol
Unfortunatley I do not know why the Parrot kit and HBH-200 do not work. I suggest you contact Parrot, they should have tested the P910 by now. As I can use both my HBH65 (I do have a HBH200 as well) and GPS on BT I have no need for an additopinal handfree, such as the Parrot kit.

How are you connecting your speakers to your phone? For some reason the port on the bottom of the phone is only used for telephone conversations. My speaker hands free kit has a 2.5mm jack, and if I plug this into the 'earphone' socket on the phone then the voice instructions come through the hands free speaker loud and clear.
Its a bit annoying to have to plug it into the earphone socket (especially with the fiddly plastic cover), but at least you get clearer voice instructions...

The P910 is not connected to anything.. only the bluetooth connection to the Parrot kit.. hence the voice calls will come through the car speakers. The wayfinder voice navigation will only come through the the phone or as i mentioned in the previous post the only other option is to use a cable head set or perhaps a phone cradle with a built in speaker. The cable head set as you say needs to be plugged into the phone..
I understand that the phone needs to support audio gateway to allow this to work, although the P910 supposed to support this but i cannot see a way of making it work through the car speakers! Having used it for a while i now find it acceptable and perhaps better for me the way it is, as i can still use the radio for background music and adjust the music volume when you need to listen the voice navigation, i find when you are on a straight road for several miles e. g the motorway you can still have the voice navigation active although it will only speak to you as you approah your next turning, so being able to listen to the radio at the same time is ideal for me.
The phone speaker volume is acceptable and having the phone on the dash next to the steering wheel is ideal as you can clearly read the maps and directions on the phone as well as listen to the voice instruction..
One problem i'm having is to connect to the Parrot GPS receiver everytime, for some reason it does not always connect which is something that needs to be resolved, but once connected it works great.

When the subscription runs out what do you lose access to and how?
- the program is coded to lock you out until you put another code in?
- GPRS updates are blocked?
- something else?

Time to bump this thread
I'm thinking of buying the EuroNavigator version for my p910i and I just want to know:
1. How large maps can you select on mywayfinder.com to pre-load on your phone
2. How larger will the files for pre-loaded maps be? I know that it depends on the area, but lets say Sweden south of Stockholm, or North Germany or France?
Also if you use EuroNavigator, what is your general opinion?
All the best

Hi,
I know that some questions already have been asked.
I have a question regarding one of the postings on the first page regarding Pre-Loading maps on the version of Wayfinder after 5th October. Where do you download them from? If I have to make a trip from Switzerland to Germany then I will be experiencing the GPRS costs of Germany while using a Swiss Number (GPRS Roaming), that is quite expensive. So before making a 12 month subscription, can anyone help me and tell me whether it is possible to pre-load a way from lets say Zurich to Berlin and put it on your Memory Stick?? The other question would be: Does P900 accept M.Stick Duo Pro? and if not then is there a way of it accepting it?
Thanks for anyone answering....
Danny.

There are two ways of preloading.
First, in the service menu of mywayfinder.com you can download ready maps to your phone (or to your pc and then install them manually to your phone). Whenever you use an route using that area it will first look in your phone whether it has the map already available.
The second way is to put your phone in the cradle (make a connection through Opera first) and then on your phone select a route. This will be put in your phone and you can start driving. If you follow the exact instructions of Wayfinder then you won't have additional GPRS costs. If you do miss an exit, however, you will need to recalculate and you have extra costs.
As I believe memory stick duo pro is not possible on p900. For Wayfinder however also absolutely not necessary.
