I have an X5 3.0 without Sat Nav or TV, so I view my phone book in the dash display by scrolling.
Have any of you been able to get the phone book showing yet?

yeah! me too. I think I need to upgrade not to P910 but to BMW. lol
Thanks rraz9228... I got such a laugh from that comment!
Anyone know if the new Bluetooth profile will be made available to us poor suckers still on the P900. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't work with my carkit. If the firmware was upgraded, I would finally be satisfied with this otherwise exceptional phone.
Here's my baby!

Is there any chance that you can tell me the exact process any P910i users went thru to pair your phone and transfer the phonebook?
I've paired the phone to the BMW 5 series but I cannot get the phonebook transferred.
Any help is much appreciated?

Has anyone used the P910 phone with a current 5 or 6 series BMW?
There have been a few posts about use of the SonyEricsson P910 phone with BMW 3 series Bluetooth car kits, with modest success. Knowing that the 5 and 6 series share the same platform and are significantly different that the 3 series platform, I'd appreciate any relevant experience to share with other owners. I have a P900 that does NOT work with my Bluetooth-capable BMW 645Ci, since the P900 (and P800) lacks the BT handsfree profile. The P910 has the required handsfree profile (Symbian OS upgrade), but that does not guarantee complete functionality:
a) ability to make/receive calls
b) phone book synched to car
c) calling name display (using adddress book)
d) ability to send/receive SMS
Can anyone verify compatibility? I'd like to verify functionality before I pay for a new handset.
many thanks,
Robert

Hi I've got a 2003 X5 which currently has a T630 intalled in the Bluetooth kit. I'm looking to use either a P910i or Blackberry 7100 for email.
I can get the p910 paired but can't see the phonebook or use the m/f steering wheel to make calls. Anyone managed to get this sorted???

To further the questions already asked about how well the P910 works with a recent BMW 5 or 6 series, it would also be nice to know if you can use voice dialing using the car's mic to dial the phone numbers in the phonebook or if you have to scroll in the address book.
Any detailed, step by step procedure to pair and use the P910 with the BMW bluetooth as well as sync the phonebooks would also be appreciated.

well, actually I got 2 M3s
a manual gearbox one (without bluetooth, 2001 model) and an SMG one (with bluetooth, 2003 model, but P800 or P900 didn't work with it, so I had to buy a T610 just for the car (T610 does support phonebook & SMS on the Satnav TFT screen), but 2 mobiles with 1 number is way too annoying (since it always rings on the wrong phone!), so if a P910 works 100% with the BMW, I can sell off my P900 and T610 at the same time)
Gimmie one man! I'm just a poor graphic designer/nightclub manager from Australia! Hahaha.
