I'm confused about the different infos about the Z1010 display. Some say it's TFT, some say it's only STN. So what's the truth?

But look at the K700i. That's a real TFT Display. The Z1010 display is not so high-contrast and colorstrong. It's more like the Samsung S100 Display, and that was an LCD.
Just look at the dispay from diagonally in front. There the colors disappear and go into the negative. That's not like a TFT should be.

Almost every mobile phone display is an LCD.
TN/STN/TSTN/TFD/TFT describe the variety of the LCD panel.
The B&W Nokias usually have STN screens. The T610 has a colour STN screen. The T630 has a TFT screen. Both the K700i and the Z1010 also feature TFT screens.

I was at the Sony Ericsson Service Partner and they did update my Z1010 to Firmware R1G007. But I don't see any changes - no animated themes or buttons ... nothing!
And a strange thing:
All calling lists, used ringtone, used alarm times, even the wap-browser-settings were preserved. How can this be after the mobilephone was flasht and updated?

They told me that this was a corporate decission just for not violate any laws... And in the next sentence they tell me that they are working with their portal so that you will be able to download MP3 ringsignals ? Seems that they want to earn money and nothing else...
I will remove the lock to vodafone and reflash my phone as fast as i'm able to get a new firmware (Original one...)
Any clues about where to find some orignal Sony-Ericsson firmware and a upgrade utility ? I got a P900 sync station if it's anygood ?!?!

Ok, it's a TFT display but it's not the same quality like the TFT in the K700i. The brightness and the contrast are weaker.
What about the R1G or R1H Software-Updates? I did update to R1G but there are no changes at all.
