that's probably because the GPRS settings you have installed are for your carrier's WAP APN. You have to contact your carrier for the Internet APN settings as well, which is what Opera and other apps require.

Have you used the right settings for GPRS (ie WAP or web options) for your service provider? I only use Opera with GPRS web, not GPRS for WAP, which I only use for WAP sites with the in-built browser.

@Jah: My settings were sent through SMS by the operator themselves which when I opened it auto installed the Hutch_GPRS account. I guess what senninha said might be true. to find out if someone could tell me what normally you could access through GPRS which you cant access through wap then maybe I could try that since from the default browser I can normally surf the sites (guess I mean unlike as in using wap could access only wap sites)
