I guess - not all! Specially if they manage to have the very same specs!

This battery I have which I think may be a fake/unoriginal one does actually say 'optimised charging' when I charge it!

either it's a very good fake battery or I really have bought a genuine battery

Using a non-SE battery most likely will not damage your phone (although really bad fakes do have voltage fluctations that may cause your phone to occasionally reset and lose your data)

But it will charge EXTREMELY slow...and I really mean SLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW... like... 16 hours slow.

What a lot of counterfeiters do is buy old, dead SE/Ericsson batteries... then they just open them up and change the battery cells... keeping the security chip intact.

But then, this usally leaves the battery case damaged.. or at least looking 'weird'.

Fake batteries aren't really a big problem to the phone... but there are cases of exploding batteries (then again, it might just be cuz it's a Nokia...hahahahaha) ... specially LiIon ones since LiIon batteries have a flammable gas discharge that may be ignited by the RF system of the phone.

LiPol batteries that SE uses do not have this danger since the chemicals of the battery are stored in a gel, and not liquid, form.

I have ordered that battery in the picture. I am going to test it.

I will post results when I get it.

I expect it will work fine, read fine, say Optimized Charging, fit fine, no get hot, not leak, not freak out my k700i.

On the other hand, if the phone blows up, I will say a meteor hit it

Oh yes, there seems to be a German 1100 mah battery out, but sadly I cannot get a hold of one of those in the USA. If anyone wants me to test that 1100 mah, just send me one!
