My t610 once slipped out of my pocket n under the seat when sittin in a car...no harm done...not even a scratch all courtesy of the aluminium body i think. This is the only incident i've ever dropped any of my phones in a period of over a year. This message was posted from a T610

I've dropped my t630 quite a few times on to tarmac and apart from just the odd scratch here and there it still works fine This message was posted from a P800

My T610 is 15 months old now, and it falls to the floor 5-6 times every month. So that should make about 75-90 falls since I bought it!..

And they were definately not soft falls. There was once this time, when a friend was waving his hands around (he was a little ) and hit my arm while I was talking on the phone. The phone flew across the classroom, bouncing on 2 desks and then continuing to bounce on the floor. Then, I picked up the phone, switched it on and the theme was reset, the language switched to English and it just wouldn't accept my PIN code. I plugged the battery out and put it back in again, then it started to act normally. But it took almost a week for the phone to fully recover!..

This was the first casing of my phone. then I bought another Aluminium Haze one, and 2 weeks ago I bought an Abyss Blue one. It feels like a new phone now...

And you say, (and I can see with the pics too) they're not light falls? How tough is that t610!

@iyiinsan - Yup, just dressing up the exterior of your fone sure makes it look like a brand new one Here in my place, folks who are selling their fones with damaged interiors, will simply make it look great by replacing it's covers to brand new ones, so that prospective buyers will have the littlest shadow of the doubt that the fone comes in - trouble free ! As they say, it's not what you see outside that counts but what's within !

Phones are suprisingly resilient! I've had a few which I've fixed up that have come in in quite a state - a T610 that had been chewed by a dog - a new case, battery, and screen and it worked fine! And a T68i that needed a new facia, screen, keypad membrane, and keypad - looked like someone had played football with it - which worked fine once these were replaced - except for it's 'no' key which had had some damage from someone pressing it too manytimes with a pen or something.

and plenty that have had broken screens, broken facias, scratched to hell, and look like they've had a hard life that with a little TLC and a good clean still work like new!

I owned a Ericsson SH888 a few years ago. I had it in my shirt pocket (were really heavy these things) while looking out of a window on second floor to show a friend of mine where I am. The poor phone dropped 5 meters down to the parking lot and almost made it back up to the window when bouncing back. It then fell into a rose bush .
I recovered it immediately and to my surprise it survived the dash with less scratches than me (because of the rose bush)... It worked perfectly for another 6 months, when I sold it to exchange it for a T28...

well, my sister dropped my p800 down like 6 steps when it was in its case. nothing happened

worst of all, i we got lost on the motorway so we went into a petrol station with a rock hard spanking white tiled floor. my dad wasnt going to pay for a map, so i secretly took pictures of the pages on my p800. but trust me to miss my pocket, and the p800 crashed to the floor.

NOT EVEN A SCRATCH!

honestly, it wasnt a smash smash, but it slid down my leg and whacked the floor. battery case squeaks a bit, and the sides squeak a little, but amazing.

This isnt to do with an phone but the most durable phone ive ever seen was my cousins old moto C350...it was thwon all over the place, bit by a dog, kicked around the most we could but it still works
