same problem here, it's so damn slow opening or creating an SMS, busy is flashing for 3s or so, and I have no SMS'es at all nor running tasks... strange!!!! P900 was much faster, but the P910i is way slower for opening the messages app and creating SMS'es

To my surprise I can confirm it as a matter of fact: P910i is MUCH slower than p900......strange, sad, but TRUE.

it might be slower when starting up apps for the very first time after the phone is turned on...but afterwards mine just goes hella fast.

when i first got my P910 i thought the exact same thing that P900 was faster but after a full charge and playing with the phone for a while i noticed that my P910 was actually faster than P900..so just give it some time.

Try turning off key clicks, screen clicks etc.
No probs with mine so far. apps will take a few seconds to load but once they have there's not a problem at all.

Maybe it's caused by something we are not aware: new software version in the P910.
I'm just guessing, but maybe there is some sort of *extra* processing going on in the messages application, like a sorting routine, text compression algorithm, formating of the list, etc.
Any of these routines can increase the load time the more messages you have.

I agree p910 feels slower, I dont know if its true but my cousin told me its because of tracker 4 it make the phone slower than the tracker 3.
Also in other SE phones besides the P series if I had messages stored on the Sim it made a difference in speed dunno about the PXXX.
