I am not really amazed of the new se design ideas. I do get, that probably they wanna serve all level of users with futuristic and simple look aswell, but i prefer when even the models are diff, they look and are designed also as they would be the same. I mean there is a standard shape and tiny differences at the models. Its really hard, but possible. This message was posted from a T68i

From the earlier part of this topic, i think SE released the p910i or T630 so it encourages the users of the p900 and t610 to upgrade as their phone isn't the newest out.

It's cruel but i quote from someone else here "They are a business, not a chairty". They want to make as much money as possible

As what I have just made notice of with SE (specially during this year-2004) is that they have released fones in a Nokia manner - proliferation! If my memory serves me right here, I guess the SE P900 and P910 (910i) models were released all this year . . . so goes with the K700/i and S700 ones, which I guess is in the very same category . . .These gestures were very unlikely of that of SE!

To launch so many fones with almost the same features so fast make many users to feel that their fones are "old" after a year. This message was posted from a T68i

Yup! Very 'impractical' and just a waste of money

Nokia did it on this way, not a must to follow it. Se should learn the positive from the concurence, not the useless points. This message was posted from a T68i

I agree with Dephanix.
But at the end of the day it's down progress and money. is a big business/company and needs to make a huge amount of income to keep going.
I look at these new models as upgrades to earlier handsets:-

K700 being the replacement to the T68i, T610, T630 series. None of these had MS Duo support and were basic entry level handsets. The ui is also very similar and easy to use.

P910 is the replacement to the P800 and P900. Again a few minor improvements/cosmetic changes but it's still an upgraded version of the previous model/s.

The S700 is in a class of its own at the moment as no other model comes close to its design and features. The only thing that links it to the other 'new' handsets is the ui. But why for some people is having the same ui a problem. If it works and is easy to use then surely its a good thing as when someone changes from one handset to a new handset they will be familiar with the menu system and will find it easier to ajust and learn.

To respond to the origonator of this thread I don't think are going the same way as Nokia. Nokia's phones are like wolves in sheeps clothing. Different outside appearance but the guts are always the same with no difference whatsoever (eg 8310,8850, 5310 or 5210 (the first small Nokia rubber one with monochrome screen. Can't remember the number). 's latest handsets share the same ui but also have certain differences from each other.

Man...someone should kill Intel then for releasing new chips every 3 months!!! And the nerve to keep calling them Pentiums!!!

I mean... how could they!?!?!? When I bought my P4 2.8HT, I was hoping that would be the fastest chip on the block for at least 3 years!!! Just a few months after that...they release the P4 3.2HT!!!! DAMN!!!

I feel cheated!!!

Geez man... keep up people..it's called technology and it moves fast. When SE doesn't release new phones... people gripe. When they release new phones people gripe... hahahaha... When new phones are released with minor improvements people gripe... when new revolutionary phones are released at premium prices...people gripe (I read a LOT of complaints on the price of the S700 oh this board)

Then people gripe that there aren't enough features on the P910... "We want one with 20GB" ... if SE released one with 20GB and priced it at 1500GBP... I doubt those people asking for 20GB would even consider buying it.

dude the thing is u cant compare computers with fones, for real, if u have less memorry or hard disk do u get urself a new HARD DISK or buy urself a whole damn new computer.. i have no problem with new fones.. hell yeah i need new fones new technology too, but you give me one reason for not putting a memory card slot in K700 and just providing a detachable keyboard for P900, u know it too they can do it, i mean this was where they acted smarter and different than Nokia.. but as some1 mentioned earlier, i know all businesses are there to make money, but i hate it wen companies like these bull shitt abt CUSTOMER Loyalty, i mean watever.. they want a bigger market share and are making fone after fone, with slight differences , so isnt that wat we hated in NOKIA??

anyways ill stick with K700 and wait till Dec im pretty much sure the price of S700 wud drop and a new succesor will take its place, im gonna start wait atleast 2-3 months after a fone is released, im sure all of us work hard to buy these phones, it feels nice to have the latest gadget for around 5-6 months atleast, iv'e been ripped twice by SE... lets see wat happens in the future
