Is this pixel moving or stationary? Where in the screen is this pixel? In a dark background, how does the dead pixel appear?(what color) This message was posted from a K500

thanks for all the replies.

the dead pixel can be more noticed when taking dark pictures, you cannot notice it when you point the camera into the light. the pixel is white when the background is dark.

it is always in the same place.

i have just bought the phone for uk vodafone store so i will take it back for exchange for a new one on the weekend.

if i take a picture in the dark, i can clearly see the dead pixel. however, when i view the dark picture, the dead pixel is gone. very weird.

It's not a dead pixel! It's a bug...

If you go to the camera mode, the pixel is quite visible as white. If press in the joypad to hide the info from the screen you will notice it dissapears. The info screen must be some sort of overlayed bitmap, i'm guessing they forgot to mask a single pixel on it so it looks like a dead pixel. Maybe a voda-branding issue if its not present on the unbranded S700's

My vodafone S700 has the exact same problem, a pixel is being 'drawn' by the software as part of the display.

I've already had one exchange and the same problem was present on my replacement phone. Just spoke to vodafone and the technical 'boffins' are aware of it. They also said it could be anything up to a couple of months before a firmware update is released to solve the problem.

In the meantime i'm stuck with this annoying problem, vodafone will arrange another replacement but I imagine it will have the same problem. I'd be interested to hear from other Vodafone users, is this rogue pixel in ALL vodaphone SE S700's?!
