I'll have to inquire to see if i can get pay from work. I usually just take a whole morning/afternoon off and do a bit of shopping aswell

but i heard that if you start its not the best thing to stop.
because the body caries on producing more and more blood.

how true is that?

Your body is self-regulating. After donating your body replaces the lost volume within 24 hours. Blood products are continually broken down, reabsorbed and replaced. You won't produce too much blood. This message was posted from a T68i

oh,
donating blood is nice.. i've donated lotsa times.
but DONT EVER TRY TO WALK OR DO ANYTHIN IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS!!

there was this one time i donated blood and started walking towards the water cooler to drink some water, and i fell unconscious... hit my head on the edge of a table on the way down.
next thing i remember.. 5 guys trying to lift me onto a bed.. and 8 stitches on my head!!

but don't let that stop u from donating blood!
nice thread!!

I've always felt fine after donating. Went out the night after donating though. Probably not advisable, but it was a very very cheap night
