I can't make it work with @yahoo.co.uk. The smtp server works fine, but the pop server gives me some sort of an error. In my p900 and my Outlook.

Hi there! Here's a great way to do it...I have now both my hotmailaccounts configured and use three different emailaccounts that I can check through pop3 and my inbox in the phone.

It really works!!!
Good Luck!

I have my yahoo.com id working fine for me in p910 and I have been using this as a pop mail (downloading and sending mail from my Outlook client using my Yahoo Mail for many years now. Never had any problem with yahoo pop or even smtp.

Hmm thanx for that link trancedancer, but do any of you know how to get a hotmail account working without the need of any additional software? I have 2 yahoo accounts which are working great (and they are australian), but tried everything to get my hotmail one to work without any luck.

To all of you which have x@yahoo.co.uk or x@yahoo.com and can't get it working, just as a thought, try making an account x@yahoo.com.au. It works without any problems for me with the right settings (on 2 accounts), that is, if thats possible at all with you living outside of Australia

Ok I gave it another try.
It's not working. I can use my ISP provider's smtp server to send e-mails but I still can't receive them.
this is the error I get:

Problem copying messages
The pop3 server refused to allow a connection. Check your mailbox username and password. Also check the account is not being used elsewhere.

I suppose it goes without saying that I checked and double cheked everything is filled in correctly and I made sure I was signed out of Yahoo!Mail and Yahoo Messenger (nothing else with Yahoo in its name is running on my computer). HELP! Why does it work for anyone alse but not me? I'm clueless.

no, you are not the only one this doesn't work for. I've configured both my pc and p800 to access my yahoo mail without success and get th same error message. Yahoo account is set up to allow pop3 access so god knows what the problem is!
