where is the pound?
though when you look at it the other way, ie, £25 in shop + £3 on friends + £2 on assistant it does work out correctly.

@rrojas260, no, what people are saying is 3*9 = £27 as there are 3 guys paying £9 each so that is £27. Then the assistant has has £2 so that makes £29, which means that one pound is missing.
but like posted, shop keeper has £25, guys £3, assistant £2 total of £30.

Well that was explained better than I ever could. It IS just a play on words. It still manages to confound some people though which always tickles me. :-D
