But if it is a LED why does in not light up when doing a service test.
I'm pretty sure that the faint green light i see from the power button is the screens LED and no other

So I can make a test (again) myself. What I am just posting here was my experience back then, aslo, I guess this topic was discussed already in another thread, giving an end to the RED and GREEN leds under the power button issue . ..

Plus there's no way i can be arsed to take my phone apart again to test myself (last time a load of dust got in but good old caned air sorted that for me

@joebmc - So, you've seen the RED led goes ON (blinks) when the battery is about to drain - right? Then, during your next charge, observe the GREEN led goes ON when the charging cycle has reached it's peak, just to see if my memory still serves me right here pal

I just did a service test and the green light is from the screen and there is a litle red bulb under the on/off button that flashes when it's on low battery. I se the green light till the the low battery warning.

So, the GREEN light does not go ON or BLINKS when the charging hits it peak mate?

You donīt have to... Iīm 100 percently sure that there is only RED one, which blinks, when battery is in red, thatīs all... Green light is visible thru the button, is only backlight of a display - nothing more, nothing less
