if anyone is in portsmouth or london UK, i will offerer this service for free. If you can get it done at CPW all the better. HandymobilzUK will probably offerer this service aswell and i hear he is very good.

If you had this done would there be any problems using the Online update in the future?

I have just bought a Vodaphone P910i but want to unbrand it. I am in the middle of doing the SE update on my P910i for the latest firmware etc. Will this debrand my mobile and allow me to use any sim card on it?

online update does not work for manufacturer branded phones full stop regardless of what you may do.

I have contacted CPW and have been advised they will do it for free!!! But let me get this straight. I have now unlocked my phone. Once CPW has debranded my P910i, can i use the online update of software for my P910i on the SE website or will i have to go back to CPW for future updates?

Just wanted to get this straight in my mind!!!

you will have to do all your updates at CPW because if you use the SE update service it will upgrade you to the newest BRANDED fw and you will be where you left off.

Does anybody know if CPW can debrand a s700i?
Do i need to unlock the phone first, before getting CPW to flash it?

Hi, if you get no joy at your nearest CPW service centre, try these guys, I did and paid £20 which included the return insured postage, and now have a fully unbranded (from Vodapain) and unlocked P910i, and I wont bother with any future update worries as it works perfectly so why change it. The link is www.aboveconnection.co.uk and I have to say they are superb. By the way to the above question, No you dont have to get one done before the other, just get them done at the same time, easy, Good Hunting !
