Well called Vodac*ap today, apparently there is a fault they are aware of and this is affecting some contract phones !!
There was me thinking I'd buggered me fone up !!

I menat its a problem with some contracts or other at Vodafone NOT the actual fone. Apparently some people can't send text messages at the moment. 'They are working on the problem now'.

Sometimes this "unknown recipient" issue can occur when your contact has more than one number linked to it, that is, a mobile as well as home or office etc...
If thats the case, check to make sure you arent sending to a non-mobile number first, because that is the error message you will get.

Try putting your SIM card in a known SMS working Voda handset, if the problem is still happening then you know it's Voda's fault.
