Ok fair enough turn your mobile off but that about your house phone??

Oh and while we are on the subject of living like cave men why don’t we just turn our gas, electricity and water off too. Come on people im sure most of you have a river/pond/lake near by.

I’m not saying I don’t like peace and quite, because when ever I go away I try and not used my phone a lot.

But here we are talking about everyday life and I for one NEED my phone.

I just had to switch my phone off during the movies. Even on silent, I don't want my phone making a buzzing sound!

But yes, I agree mobiles are a lifestyle gadget and we cant live without them - or stop talking about them!

I used to hate mobiles and refused to have one. Now I'm absolutely obsessed!

The BBC did an experiment with a reporter that spent a week without a mobile phone.

Although she found the prospect quite daunting, when she did it she found that she had a sense of power, because everyone had to work around her, meetings could not be re-scheduled and plans had to be finalised in advance.

I do remember the days when no one had mobiles, not too long ago, and it will be funny telling my children about the progress that has been made. I know that my Grandparents tell me that things have changed in their time, but I think that they have changed at a faster rate in my lifetime (20 years). Mobiles especially have gone from very rare (Vodafone was set up in 1985), to the Third generation, Remember analogue?

I also remember when WAP first camer out and was hyped by BTcellnet, but is far more usefull now, and every new mobile has WAP built in, then GPRS.

As you noticed im on a bit of a ramble now, but its amazing how fast attitudes and expectations have changed, When my mobile phone rang in a shop everyone stood and stared like I was a pimp! I used to be classed as geeky for having the latest phone, but now everone comes to me for help in choosing the latest phone or setting up the features.

In the markeing world I am classed a pioneer, as I try new things first, and companies use me to learn when they produce newer technology.

Ahh, I'll sleep tonight.

phones are a luxury that we have taken to be a need. im sure i could cope without a phone for a week but im not going to try, well not anytime soon.

come to think of it i dont know 1 person over 10 who dosent have a mobile.

They may still technically be a 'luxury', but I think we are now moving towards mobile 'phones' being a necessity. I don't think it will be too long before Japanese mobile payment systems become common in Europe and from there I can see a time when they will replace credit cards as a form of payment.

well the thing i write this message i am really one of those addicted to mobiles phones , i have P910 an its almost full of anything
Programs - Games - Mp3s videos and i also have GPRS with it
u see that this Gadgets are our freinds and more then freind we take them anywhere 24 hours and 24 hours , we sometimes make calls even if we dont need to , just to talk and use our minutes , lol
i remember when my girl freind told me that u love ur phone more then me .... lol
well
when i take that vacation from P910 i wasnt thought i can live without the phone for one single hour
because specialy if u have such a phone full of everything
but after the 3 days passed , i see that i can live without a mobile phone , well people who wants me let them find me or contact me
or if they want me on my mobile = means they want me to call them
so i dont want there freind ship ...
