@blayv;if he was to follow your instructions,a gprs connection would not be possible,only csd.to conserve batt,use "gprs and gsm" when asked, as opposed to "always on",use power save mode,don't play games,and just use the phone sensibly!

It's prefered connection, meaning when he's not using gprs it turns off- no blue cap over the network signal symbol.
After all if what you say is true, then how am i using gprs right now?

But I admit that kind of menu solution is stupid. Ok, here are 2 more I forgot: I noticed the battery works better if charged while phone of and guy from SE told me you should discharge completelly before charging at least twice a month.

Yeah, this is the very ideal way of charging a fone - completely turned OFF !

The best way to get good performance at usage is off charging, cos even the quality of reception at actual charging effect the batt. Try this: 6 days on mode til batt full, on the 7th off charge all night long.
