@Brimme I just gave it a try, you're right. It does block the signal, but not completely, still have 1 bar left (I have to use both hands to block it), gprs still works amazingly, heh.
I wonder if this can be fixed with those addable reception enhancers?

Deltayoda, to be honest, I'd expect Singapore to be the most advanced place in the world.

well, i´d guess japan would be the most high-tech country concerning mobile phones, if we brought our t68/t68i over there, we would be 1 or 2 years behind.... they allready have live video conversations on their mobile, and it´s impossible to buy a mobile phone without colour screen

I think that the T68 has the same or even better signal than nokia when talking, but when on standby and the signal is weak, the phone goes to sos mode, That is the most annoining thing (if i restart my phone and directly make a phone call the sound is perfect) so why does it go to sos, i hope there is a way of disabling it

Deltayoda, maybe Singapore doesn't feel the need to?
As far as pure technology goes, I'd imagine Korea/Japan/Singapore to all be ahead of the US, just look at some of the gadgetry they produce!

I have found the nokia 8310s reception to be much better then the t68mi's however even though some nokias show 3 bars of reception and an ericsson only 2 the reception is still much better on the ericsson.Strange.

Looser, whilst Japan does have some very nifty gear, they still use cdma, not gsm. THey can only use their phones in Japan, no roaming for them. Also, phones have no sim's, so they're locked to the account, and when you upgrade phone, you get a new phone number. Advanced, huh?
