well i had the same trouble as what you did one memory stick for my camera what working and the memory stick for my phone wasnt and all i did was turn it upside down and put it in and it come up straight away,what a tit i felt lol,

I just bought the exact same reader from 7dayshop. It installed ok, however...
- recognised my memory stick duo no problem, but when I put the card back in my p900 it was blank.
- doesn't recognise the compactflash 1 card from my digital camera.
- the PC doesn't boot when it's connected.
It's hardly worth the postage to send it back, so I guess I wasted my money.

I've tried every possible combination of the card and adaptor every which way round. you can 'feel' when it's in right but even still I get no joy. I have tried various USB slots and rebooted my machine.
The slot I have tried to use is the top left in this pic
Unless I'm being incredibly stupid I can't figure out what could be wrong.

Yes thats the slot I used without adaptor. As I said it worked fine on the PC but the P900 didn't like the card afterwards. I just spent all morning restoring the card from a backup.

as you have a P900 I presume the card is a duo and not a PRO? I wonder if it's the Pro it doesn't like?

Yes it's a duo. Could be it doesn't recognise pro, but the description says it does. The compactflash fits the slot perfectly but the reader doesn't recognise it. I think both our readers are faulty.
Let me know what response you get from 7dayshop.

yeah it 100% works i have 6 memory stick duo from 32mb to 512mb for my p900 and p910 and they all work,
