well when trying different stuff i decided to go through the process without listening to music and when i connect my sync station to my computer i didnt hear the ding DING that u hear when u add new hardware instead it was just three fast dings like (DDDing) any one know what this indicates?

update

after trying to install the dss drivers manualy from the disk i get the error that C:\WINDOWS\System32\FTDIUN2K.INI is missing could any 1 suggest how i could fix this please

Hello, I have been reading this forum 4 a while, and it is brilliant.
Well just to answer ur question, it did happen to me as well. It would not see the phone after SP2 was installed.
All I did, was paired the phone with my PC via bluetooth, reboot, and then connected the sync station. It worked fine and upto now, it is working.
