@Masseur,
You made a good point. I have a 512 MSP for my Sony Camera and this is not enough, but for me, I can not see the point in getting one for my s700(which does not support it). Also, the more memory you have the more a computer has do to keep track of whats on it and to search through it. Imagine if a Pxx or s700 could utilize this much memory. It would take ages to look for files or run applications from the card as it must transit the databus. Maybe SE thought about this and decided against it due to performance issues.
As for videos or music, I have an iPod photo (40 gigs).

The P910i does support MSDP up to 32GB, or so we are led to believe. My P910i manages to cope with a full 512mB Duo Pro without any problems and is no slower than the P900 with a 128MB. I can't see that it would struggle with a 1GB stick.
As for

supporting SD cards, I have heard the rumours too but find it difficult to believe that they would sacrifice Memory Sticks (and the miniature versions). It would be a strange and seemingly unnecessary diversion.

I'm not sure why you keep harping on stating the Pxxx's lack of compatibility with the 1G MSD PRO. I think all members on here should understand that the P910x is compatible with that size media. I've only had my 1G MSD PRO for a week now and It's already at 90% capacity. Thank goodness those spare 512mbs.. The 1G stick has been a valuable asset for my P910i because it allows me to share data between my MS accessible Laptop, Sony Location Free wireles lcd display, and Clie. On the other hand, my 40gig mp3/FM tuner/video player fairs as a good portable hard drive, but it only has USB connectivity therefore data sharing becomes quite difficult unless there's a pc present.

Although SD cards are more popular, and that's mainly because of the word "secure" in the title which gives paranoid media (e.g. record label, film) companies nice orgasms, isn't it the case that technically Memory Sticks are superior?
Superior in terms of data speed transfer etc etc etc?
Correct me if I am wrong on that.
But that probably won't help given the demise of Betamax which was almost universally recognised as superior to VHS; or the fact that objective commentators always say that Apple is superior to the PC format which hasn't stopped the PC/MS Windows from taking 90% of the market.

@Bigfeat,
It wasn't harping as much as having someone explain it to me. Your usage patterns make perfect sense to me. However, isn't the data access slower based on the fact that your P910 (small computer) has to still keep track of all the data on the card for filing, application accessing, etc.. Does it possess enough computing power in that respect? You are teaching me here. I have no idea, so I am asking you as one who is actively using this setup.
