I almost can do it with one hand.
I can open it to 160º and then just have to push the rest towards me.
If the 2º offset is to tell the user in which way should close it, i must say i can't tell the difference...

It is noticable, if you hold the S700 still and compare the keypad section with the screen section, you will notice thhat they are not in exact alignment.

yes, it's quite easy to open it with one hand.
anyway, did you guys try to play games with the swivel opened 90 degrees clockwise? it's nice way to play games. your left thumb is in the navigation key while your right one is in the number keypad.

Now that would be a major nuisance in trains and Burger KIng joints, lots of teenagers flicking phones around frenetically at lightning speed
