I really like the

K700i commercial

! Specially when the UMBRELLAS went popping out on the screen, as it reminded me right there and then . . .that I should be BRINGING one

I saw the advert for the very first time one day early morning and we have a STORM coming our way on that very same day!

I'm not sure all your ranting was entirely positive, if I remember correctly!
I also don't think that

's advertising is that crash-hot. The proof is in the sales and, as boba says, they don't paint as positive a picture as they should, although clearly there is more to it that simply advertising.
By and large, criticisms like Nature's are made in the interests of getting

to improve. Surely we should encourage this??

advert done in TWO different episode/location shot et al

Any model at that? I guess, the S700 is just one of them . . .

@vanquish pos and neg are phrases of relativity. And thats the secret of esato, many point of views about the same thing.

Advertising a phone 2 months before it is launched is certainly NOT a great idea. The product simply turns stale even before it is released. I mean you can preview it and state that it's coming soon or something. At least that's the case for the S700i here. Still one of the last places in the world to get this overpriced gadget.

this may sound like a stupid thing to say but to my (wierd) way of thinking se could easily include 2 or 3 models in thier adverts.
eg:
here is the t630 it has......
dont like it? here is the clamshell version the z600.
or
here is the k700 it does....
dont like the design? why not try the s700 its the same as k700 apart from.....
Why on earth would any company want to suggest even the remotest possibility that someone may not like any of its products?

looking at the ad i realised i dont even know what the difference is between a k5 and k7!
So now you are wondering what the difference is, the advert seems to have done a reasonably good job in that case.

has anyone seen an ad for se that told you anything useful about the phone it?
An advert full of specifications would no doubt go over most people's heads. Advertisers realise that potential customers mostly respond to looks.

k700 ad tagline "phone meets camera" HOW??? tell me whats so good about the camera!!
make me go "oooh!"
Well the K700 has a camera feature and the back of the mobile looks similar to a camera, hence "phone mets camera". The advert is hardly likely to say "phone meets a camera that isn't as good as a dedicated device, but that isn't what it is designed to be, rather it is meant to allow the user to send picture messages and take a few fun pictures," that just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

P910a - superiority complex
S710a - Imaging with a twist
Z500a - Time to play
Lot's of buzz sentences on the ads. Then when you want to know something specific about the phone you've been left wanting. I would like to see more details in an add. I don't want to look and search to know what the phone can do for me.

Actually a good product doesnt even need huge adv, of course it depends on their long and old presence on the market.

I am not an advertising expert, but I am a customer and I know, which adverts make me more interested in a product or service. The SE adverts are not all that bad in my opinion, but I think they rely too much on the 'Let's try and look trendy' mode of advertising.
In my opinion, they would be better off promoting their products for what they are, high quality mobile phones. A good starting point would be to look at the Guinness adverts, those are marvellous, especially that one with the WWII bomber pilots ...
Adverts need to be kept simple and to the point. Sometimes a little wit and glmaour can add a certain penache to the proceedings, but the key is simplicity.
