What are the chances if SE bringing out a smaller smart phone? Size seems to be the ONLY drawback with the p900/910

I would definitely think about upgrading, I have just done so (P900toC500). Symbian was just doing my head in to be honest. It's the little things that matter, like the P900 not supporting a hands-free bluetooth profile (P910 does) so it didn't work with car kits and the sync station software of the P900 didn't really handle syncing with 2 computers well (kept on deleting/duplicating contact, appointments etc). SE customer support tried to be helpful but just kept on batting me back with replies like we have no plans to support this or that. I do miss being able to write on the screen, and the buttons on the C500 are a tad small, but overall a much better phone. I like it, dare I say it, because it is Windows driven so it syncs well (activesync works out if you have duplicate entries and will delete them if you say so, syncstation didn't, so I ended up with loads of duplicates).

p.s. forgot to mention that the bluetooth activesync on the c500 does work well, but it can be a bugger to set up if you don't follow the instructions the this article...

I spent ages trying to get it to work but the key seems to be to set it up from the phone rather than the computer. Since I had spent ages trying to get it to work I made the mistake of scimming the instructions in the article (thinking I knew the "procedures") and thus it didn't work. What the article doesn't make clear, and the thing that seemed to make the difference between it working and it not is that the phone shouldn't be paired with the computer as you start the BT activesync set-up wizard, you must pair the phone with the computer for the "first time" as part of the set-up BT activesync process. If there is a pairing, delete it on the phone (and the computer) and then start the wizard on the phone. In saying that on one of my computers I had to pair the phone and computer to get the bluetooth serial port to register to that i could get it's number. I thne deleted the relationship on both phone and computer (the port stayed put) and the started the wizard. Anyway, it's complicated but it does work. The key is to follow the process shown exaclty with no deviation or breaks in the steps shown.. Sorry for the exhastive reply but I spend several hours trying to get the bluetooth activesync up and running, and this was the answer. The good thing about these instructions is that they seem to work for any Windows mobile Smartphone.... I wouldn't have bothered so much if it hadn'tbeen for the slight inconvenience of the activesync and the charge leads sharing the same socket on the phone, so only 1 can be plugged in at a time..
