I smashed a phone a few weeks ago. I was so angry! The screen was frozen (stuck on 1 picture) I could not switch it off, so I smashed it!
I will post a picture of it!

b.t.w. it's a Sharp GX15 (the T610 clone)

b.t.w2. did you notice this message was posted on 9:10, but edited on 8:10? Timezone mixup?

I lost my K700 two weeks ago to robbers haven only used it for three months plus. I bought a K500 as replacement pendiding the upgrade of the K700.
The K500 battery life is longer than the K700. The firmware is faster and the keypad feel and response is just coool. No squirks. Icons of the K500 are fresher. Not seen any bugs yet after twelve days usage.
Though you will miss K700's brilliant display, radio, extra mem,and bluetooth;the K500 is just refreshingly cool.

I took the plunge and bought the K500i (unbranded) and it came with firmware RL01....

you know what?

This phone is absolutely excellent, i just love it, the battery time is very good, i took it out of the box in the show, plug the battery which was Half charged (it was 6:00 pm), right now is 4:11 am and it's not yet discharged, i put videos , mp3, themes....the screen is better than K700!!

it actually feels bigger and more very very clear, in the shop they had 1 K700i unbranded with latest Firmware and you know what, i wasn't impressed , i try it again and the only thing worth is the 40mb , but other than this, BLUTOOTH is of no use for me.

the phone received calls/sms/mms perfectly right out the box, screen contrast is great, everything works as it should, even loaded the demo of SPLINTER CELL and works great

very happy with K500i , it's always amazing when the student surpasses the professor

You are in need correct. The screen of k500i is 1.9inch whereas k700 is 1.8inch. This message was posted from a K500

Very interesting but if the end result is that the java games run some fps faster on the k500 than it ... runs faster, no?

Othr than that people should't get so tangled up on the k700-k500 comparison. The K500 is a very nice phone. 12MB holds a huge amount of games and a lot of picturess. It is just a sensible spending of money. One can not feel bad about that.
