Thanks alot, But i understood wrongly that you found a way to do it without using the jog dial up/down procedure so now all you ment was for the *, I'll give it another try to reach the service menu with the jog dial, it is very difficult with me.
In what state should the phone be in, I mean normal mode , flight mode.

doesn´t care which mode - but pay attention:
ROLL the jog up- / downwards one click, NOT PRESS up or down!!
(just to assure you´re not making the same fault like me for about 1 day and beeing boring the other guys round here

)

I see no difficult with the jogdial:
Up & down are roll, u can feel each step
Towards & away are other directions.
All exactly as u look at the phone Up to the top, down to the bottom, towards you & away from you
Also it's not a way of not using * it is a way on not needing the flip attached or needing to activate the v.flip

Congratulations
Just don't format the internal drive by accident!

so what is the use of it other than formatting the internal disk ?
Well at least I know how to reach there whenever i want to...
out of topic question:
Is there a log for the calls other than the call list something like that found in the nokia communicator ??
May be a 3rd party software, but any thing i can trace my calls.
Thanks again..

You can view firmware & other information. Also hardware info (IMEI)
There is also a series of test to ensure components of the phone, screen for example, are working properly
