i hope SE gets alot of money for this. cause i see alot of unhappy people, some of them are even getting a vodaphone subscribtions to use this lovely phone.

so in Q2 will probably see the normal V800 version. i know along time to go, but many worth the wait.

I chose S700 over V800 as the V is too much like a normal flip phone.

I don't think either will become common to the the average Joe but only to us SE lovers

Feature wise, S700 has FM radio and I have no need for 3G. Bigger screen, too, and it does look flashy, poser, etc, (which I like!)

By the way, what's the word for "flip" phone and a word for a normal handset ie T630?

The branding is not that bad!

I have used one, its actually quite nice menus. Ask vlammetje, she can vouch for being a proud supporter and she thinks the phone is high quality.

The video messaging is sweet aswell!

Do you really? Because I see people here everyday that don't even know there's phones without branded software and don't notice anything new on mine branding-wise.

And Vodafone happens to be a good network provider. they may have some quirky policies here and there but so do other companies.
Vodafone at least has excellent coverage and a range of services... there's plenty of happy vodafone customers out there.
Granted, they probably don't all visit this forum but since when is this forum the norm?

I agree with vlammetje, they have done good job, and the network coverage is brilliant. I have used vodafone, and although the branding is bad, the services are very good.

take orange, high quality, but has branding.
take t-mobile, ok, but has PINK branding!
take virgin, no branding, limited phones and not the best network coverage.
take o2, not that much branding, but customer services are crap and the coverage isnt all that good. they are a bit behind aswell, no video messaging has been told of - yet.

so vodafone, although their branding is quite bad, it is very easy to unbrand, and only costs 15 pounds using a t28 cable.

and from what i have heard the v800 is brilliant, so dont go dissing networks just because they have disabled the use of mp3's, or have a little more red than other networks. the v800 is an exception - in style, and with vodafone. They have redesigned the menus, and the vodafone live is incredibly fast!

regards

Ant that isn't even a problem thanks to SEs own program DMR-packager. Just run your MP3s through that program and then you can use any mp3 as a ringsignal anyway... IN YOUR FACE VF!

hi guys,

would seriously like to know how much will a V800 cost from vodafon if i do not use thier services.

i want the V800 only and i do not mind about the vodafon setting. is there anyway i can get one without going thru eBay and directly order from them?
