I see the K700i and S700i the same, Apart from the S700i has a 1.3 mega pixel camera and a duo slot and 264k screen, But everything elce and bluetooth chip is same.
I can see you have having same problem with S700i too if you have it with your K700i

This isn't actually a bug at all in the firmware of either handset its actually to do with which bluetooth profile is being used for the headset connection.
If you are using the handsfree profile then the connection (although not actually active) between the phone and the headset will remain connected (you'll see the little headset icon on the screen all the time even when not in a call).
If you are using the headset profile then the connection will initialise and then disconnect when making and ending a call.
Now on the T610 the bluetooth profile used (if your headset supported both profiles) was selectable from the phone by changing the "Handsfree type" between auto and powersave - auto would be handsfree and powersave would use headset.
However the catch is this option is completely missing from the K700i (and probably the S700i too) meaning there is no way to choose which profile you use except if the headset either only supports one profile or you can force the headset itself can be forced to use a particular profile (I believe you can do this with some Jabra headsets by using the advanced pairing mode)
By default the K700i will try to use handsfree profile and only fallback to headset profile if the headset does not support handsfree.
Now what people have been seeing is this (and I know from experience with a K700i and some of these headsets):
1. Older SE headsets only supported the headset profile therefore something like the old HBH-30 will work in headset mode with the K700i
2. New SE headsets support both profiles, but you cannot choose which profile to use therefore on the K700i handsfree will always be used. The HBH-300 and HBH-660 both only work in handsfree mode with the K700i
3. For some unknown reason despite Motorola (HS810/HS820) headsets supporting both headset and handsfree profiles the K700i (and T610 for that matter) thinks they only support headset profile and therefore uses headset profile with Moto headsets. I would actually guess its a bug in the Motorola's bluetooth implementation or firmware that they don't report handsfree profile support correctly.
The reasons above explain why people using certain headsets report differing behaviour with the K700i.
Best advice if you want to use headset mode (which it sounds like you do) is get yourself something like the Moto HS820 which will only work in headset mode with the K700i

I had a problem with my K700i and a Parrot CK3100 car kit, when out of the car it would get stuck in headset mode.
Now have an S700i with R3F008 firmware and that works fine, disconnects fine from the bluetooth car kit. So something is different between the two phones.
